Always aim to improve your skills and techniques through hard work and dedication.

Pay club fees on time.

3. Sportsmanship

Win with humility and lose with grace. Always show respect for your opponents, regardless of the outcome.

Celebrate your achievements and the achievements of others in a positive manner.

Never engage in negative behaviour such as taunting, bullying, or mocking others, whether they are members of the club or competitors from other teams.

4. Safety First

Maintain good hygiene - Keep nails short and long hair tied back.

Inform the coach of any injuries or medical conditions that may affect your training.

Always prioritize your safety and the safety of others during training and competitions. If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, raise your concerns with a coach or club official.

5. Personal Conduct

Be mindful of your behaviour both inside and outside of the dojo, as you always represent Stotfold Judo Club.

Show self-discipline and maintain a positive attitude. Stay focused and committed to your personal growth as a judoka.

Refrain from using inappropriate language or behaviour during training, events, or while representing the club.

6. Respect for the Dojo

Treat the dojo (training space) with respect. This includes cleaning up after yourself, not leaving personal items unattended, and maintaining the equipment in good condition.

Bow respectfully when entering or leaving the dojo, as well as before and after sparring sessions.

Always follow the dojo etiquette, including maintaining silence when the coach is addressing the class.

7. No Bullying or Harassment

Bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind (including physical, verbal, or online) will not be tolerated. This includes behaviour that creates an intimidating or hostile environment.

If you witness or experience bullying or harassment, report it to a coach or club official immediately.

8. Fair Play

Compete fairly and always adhere to the rules and regulations of judo.

Represent Stotfold Judo Club with honour and integrity at all events and competitions.

Support the values of clean sport and refrain from using any banned substances or engaging in unethical practices.

9. Confidentiality and Privacy

10. Consequences of Misconduct

Any violation of the Judoka's Code of Conduct will be addressed by the club's leadership, with consequences ranging from verbal warnings to suspension or expulsion, depending on the severity of the violation.

A member found in breach of this code may also lose eligibility for club events, competitions, or other activities.
